In 1999, a veteran Buc fan, born & raised in Tampa with a chronic case of
Tampa Bay Buccaneer Fever also known as TBBF, met a newcomer to Tampa.
This individual grew up with another NFL team down in South Florida where he first began learning the fine art of tailgate partying.

Their very first tailgate party consisted of nothing more than one parking spot, a small charcoal grill, one cooler with some beer & soda, and a few hotdogs & buns. It was always a fun time for the few who would attend. But, during each tailgate party, they found themselves always saying; “We should add this for the next party” and so they did. And then their small, simple tailgate parties began to evolve.

Fast forward to the present day where those once small, simple tailgate parties have snowballed into what is now known as The Pillage Inn.

What is The Pillage Inn?
It’s where Tampa Bay fans come for Buc Wild Tailgatin’. The Pillage Inn comes to life each game day when an SUV towing a 5’x8’ trailer packed to the roof with equipment and supplies rolls into our special parking area typically 4-5 hours before kick off. Then, a Crack Team of Pillagers gets to work unloading and setting up all the gear. It’s quite a scene to watch several empty parking spots transform so quickly into such a unique party environment for all our guests.

Powered by three quiet & efficient generators, many comforts of home under a 10’ x 20’ canopy area are enjoyed at The Pillage Inn. This includes a Flat Screen Television wired to Satellite TV & DVD. A home stereo system equipped with speakers & a subwoofer jamming great tunes from CD, MP3, & Satellite Radio adds electricity to The Pillage Inn. To keep our guests cool & comfortable, Fans and a Portable Air Conditioner constantly emit a refreshing breeze as fellow Pillagers sit & relax under the shaded canopy area.

For some games, a live band is hired to really get The Pillage Inn jumping. Bands like the De Lei'ed Parrots entertain our guests with jammin’ tropical tunes.

The food offered each game day at The Pillage Inn could be a story in itself. Utilizing a large Smoker Grill and a Propane Grill, items cooked range from fabulous smoked pork tenderloin to outstanding brauts & burgers. Grilled items are complimented by great side dishes which are sometimes even homemade by several of our Pillagers. Soft drinks, water, and other beverages finish off the menu list making for a very fulfilling experience.

Our mission at The Pillage Inn is to provide a safe, fun, comfortable environment for our Family & Friends to thoroughly enjoy and express their passion for the NFL, The City of Tampa, and for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
